EPIDAUROS Biotechnologie AG has appointed Dr. Michael Lutz as new Chief Executive Officer
Bernried, Germany - April 27, 2006 - EPIDAUROS Biotechnologie AG, a pharmacogenetics company located in Bernried near Munich, has appointed Dr. Michael Lutz (37) as new Chief Executive Officer. He replaces Dr. Manfred Zoltobrocki who has held this position since July 2003.
Dr. Lutz has extensive knowledge of the pharma and biotech industry through various senior management positions at industry leading companies such as Novartis Pharma AG and Evotec AG. During this time he has gained broad experience in drug discovery and development with a particular focus on commercial and strategic aspects. Dr. Lutz joins EPIDAUROS from SuNyx GmbH, where he most recently worked as CEO and successfully sold its Bioanalytics business to Qiagen. Dr. Lutz received his Ph.D. in bio-organic chemistry from the ETH Zürich, Switzerland.
