Epidauros has developed a strong product-related asset base which is ideally suited to jumpstart diagnostic product development . This includes:

 

• the effective use of its Service capabilities with respect to assay design and bioinformatics
• the availability of well characterized reference samples as controls
• the availability of a substantial patent portfolio comprising key pharmacogenetic markers, such as MDR1, OCT1, CYP2B6 and CYP2D6.

 

Products can be developed as either CLIA-based assay or in vitro diagnostics (IVD). For the latter, Epidauros developed its first strategic partnership with Osmetech early in 2007. The company is also actively discussing opportunities in the field of Companion Diagnostics.
