Genotyping Controls are one of Epidauros’ invaluable assets , incorporated in each assay and mostly derived from Epidauros own research and screening activities.

 

Availability of Genotyping Controls is crucial to routine genotyping and the analytical validity of assays is assessed by applying genotyping controls of known genetic content. Epidauros´ repository of genetically characterized DNA samples has also been proven to be valuable to diagnostic product development for validation purposes.

 

Numerous Genotyping Controls are available due to huge screening efforts on samples of different ethnicities: including African-American, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Caucasian.

 

Typically coding DNA (exons and flanking intron boundaries) and 5’ upstream and 3’ downstream sequences (~2000 bp each) have been screened.
